England captain is worried about his personal security to participate in upcoming IPL, after the deadly attack on sri lanka team in pakistan, as this was first ever attack on international cricketers.
At this point of time i have decided not to take part, after consulting as many people as i can and then take a final decision he quoted, after the final test against west indies i speak to banglore royal challenger,Ecb, security advisors.
After speaking to them i will be geting a clear view to decide upon as of now my thoughts are not clear, after the attack on Mumbai it has been tuff for cricters to think of security.
In India at this point of junction i hope there will be no issue in regard with security. If every player starts to pull out from IPL then it will be a disaster for cricket around the world.
I was shocked when i heard there was an attack on lankan team at pakistan,i don't think anyone at present will be thinking to tour pakistan.
Royal challengers will be hoping to make a good comeback in this season of IPL, as they brought england captain at huge price of USD 1.55 million, which is the highest bid paid to a player in IPL till now.
SA captain Graeme Smith injured likely to miss 3rd test match
0 comments Posted by shivkumar patil at 11:42 AMGraeme smith is almost uncertain to be out of action for 2-3 weeks, he got injured while playing against Australia at Kings mead.He has gone through the check up and was told that its a undisplaced fracture at the base of his little finger.
He got hit when bowler Mitchell Johnson bowled a quick one at 150kph. This led the dressing room to think of to who should lead the side in the second innings of the match, as Ashwell Prince not in the team.
Almost the same incident took place at Sydney Test in January, unluckily it was the same bowler where he was out of action for 1 month, same as that test Smith may have to come on field and bat for his team if it has a chance to win the match or at a situation to save the match.
The last test is on march 19 he is almost unlikely to make it and for South African's its a big blow at this point of time. The only thing he can do sit in the dressing room and boost the morale of the team which he always does.
